Blog Journal #10
One of the new skills that I learned from the PowerPoint interaction assignment was to create links to other slides. I made a jeopardy game and I enjoyed being able to link different slides to a click on the screen. One thing I can improve next time would be to make my slides look more appealing. I liked most of the assignment as a whole, the only thing that I didn't like about the assignment was I didn't have as much practice with it before starting.
As a teacher using the new skills I learned in the survey assignment will come in handy. I plan on teaching second graders and if I make the surveys fun my class could enjoy them a lot. Surveys also give students the chance to answer how they want since their answers are anonymous. I could make a survey asking if they understand a lesson that we just learned and this will give me an average and see where my class is on that lesson.
Some of the topics that I found most interesting looking at my classmates blogs are their lesson plans. I thought looking at others set up for their blogs was very informative. By looking at different ways to build your lesson plan it allows us to see the many ways you can make your lesson plan interesting. Another thing that that I found interesting was the way other student addressed the start in the blogs.
To be honest I didn't and don't have a lot of practice or experience with tech-flex or digital badges. I thought that the idea of the badges were very interesting. Because I have a good grade in the class I didn't need to participate in them. I think that the idea was great though.
A technology skill that I would like to learn next would be to hold my own zoom meetings. Since I have never held my own zoom meeting I do not know how to run one. I feel like this is an important skill to learn because I think that zoom will be around for a long time because of its efficiency. I will achieve this goal by looking up tutorials and practicing myself.
